Child Predator Act of 2005 - H.R. 1355

Congressman Poe sponsored the Child Predator Act of 2005, which would define the term, "child predator," as a person who is convicted of a sexual offense with a child of 13 years or younger. H.R.1355 would also make enforce strict public notification laws for child predators, and would require the FBI to create a free, public internet site that would clearly mark all child predators as such. H.R.1355 was written into the the Children's Safety Act of 2005, which was passed by the House on September 14, 2005. Status: Referred to Committee
